Kendra Brazzel
Kendra Brazzel has always found her deepest joy in the creative process, whether in the studio or the kitchen. She graduated from culinary school in 1993 and went on to work as a chef in Seattle, where she honed her skills and developed a passion for seasonal, ingredient-driven cooking. After leaving the professional kitchen to raise a family, she carried with her the belief that food is an art, one that connects people, tells stories, and celebrates everyday beauty.
In recent years, Kendra’s creative path expanded into the visual arts, where she has gained recognition for her atmospheric watercolor paintings and involvement in the local art community. For her, food and art are inseparable threads of the same tapestry: both invite exploration, nourish the spirit, and create meaningful connections.
As the contributing food writer for Marion Mosaics, Kendra draws on her chef’s background and artistic vision to share recipes, celebrate local flavors, and explore how food shapes community and culture. Her writing reflects a lifelong passion for creativity in all its forms and a belief that the simple act of savoring a meal, like making art, has the power to transform and inspire.
