Jeremy Rhoden
Jeremy Rhoden is the Urban Horticulture Agent and Master Gardener Volunteer Coordinator with UF/IFAS Extension Marion County, where he provides research-based education and outreach to homeowners, gardeners, and green industry professionals. His work focuses on sustainable landscape practices, Florida-Friendly Landscaping™, vegetable gardening, integrated pest management, and pollinator sustainability.
An Alachua County native, Jeremy holds a degree from the University of Florida in Agricultural Education, and will soon graduate with his master’s in Landscape Pest and Pollinator Management from the University of Florida’s Entomology and Nematology Department.
Jeremy is the state coordinator for the Great Southeast Pollinator Census, a five-state conservation initiative across the Southeastern United States, with primary goals of increasing sustainable pollinator habitat, providing public knowledge about the importance of insects, and contributing useful date to research through citizen science. He and his Master Gardener Volunteers lead local workshops, presentations, educational events, and offer diagnostic services to help residents solve landscape and garden challenges. He is passionate about helping the community make informed decisions that support environmental stewardship, conserve natural resources, and enhance the quality of life in Central Florida.
