For 30 years Contributing Editor Brad Rogers has been writing and chronicling the people, places and events that have shaped Ocala and Marion County in the 21st century.

After a 45-year career as a newspaper reporter and editor, he now is continuing to write about the issues and individuals who make Ocala a great place to live.

A two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist, Rogers has an affinity for the environment, the well-being of our youth and Ocala’s history and future.

He lives in southeast Ocala with his wife, Debbie, and their two dogs, Beau and Zeke. He is the father of two grown children — a daughter and a son — and grandfather of two.

He serves on the boards of the Salvation Army Advisory Board, Kids Central Inc. and the Marion Children’s Alliance.
