Cynthia Wilson-Graham

My name is Cynthia Wilson Graham, founder and owner of Helping Hands Photography & Design Publishing, LLC (HHP), a business I established over two decades ago with a mission to capture the lives of senior citizens in the comfort of their own environments. Today, I work as a freelance photojournalist and proudly serve as co-founder of Town Talk Magazine, a publication dedicated to amplifying the voices of individuals often overlooked by mainstream media.

With a diverse background as an educator, author, and photographer, I actively engage in research and collaborate with artists, scholars, entrepreneurs, and advocates who share a passion for creative and cultural economics. Over the years, I’ve designed and led educational training programs for organizations across local, state, and regional levels.

My deep connection to Marion County began in 2000 when I volunteered as a census taker. That experience sparked a journey of historical documentation, leading to projects such as co-authoring Remembering Paradise Park at Silver Springs, writing two memoirs, A Long Journey and Walking By Faith, and developing resources like the Mural Guide for the Edward Croskey Center “Quilted Memories”, the West Ocala Driving Tour with Historic Ocala Preservation Society (HOPs), and the Town Talk Annual Small Business Directory.

Photography has always been close to my heart. My passion was ignited in high school when my mother gifted me a Polaroid camera. Since then, I’ve captured countless local and historical events, some of which have gained national recognition.

I remain deeply committed to the arts and their power to illuminate personal narratives, preserve cultural heritage, and foster meaningful connections across communities.
