Because Mom Said So
Because I said so! It’s Mother’s Day and the mom in your life wants to go, so make sure it happens.
Go play outside! You heard her. Get out and make plans to attend with your friends. It’s more fun that way. Invite another couple or family and a few extras, and you’ve got yourself a little party. Don’t forget to take a photo.

How many times must I tell you? Watch out for that sun and look for the shade! It can be so hot when gates open at 3, so find some shade by the trees if you can.
Play nice! Tell your kids this as you sit near the open rec area so they can play with all the other kids. Bring a ball, a frisbee and their outdoor toys. A bubble maker will have the little kids going crazy.
What’s a mom gotta do to get a cold drink? Cold beverages are a must! Pack some waters and your favorite cold drinks or buy from the concession stands. An ice-cold tea or lemonade really hits the spot!
Eat your vegetables! Plan a potluck picnic with your crew and add a good salad or veggie dip to the list. Start a text thread with who’s bringing what so you’ll have plenty of food for your group, plus some visitors. Who’s bringing the Mexican street corn salad or the hummus?

Sit down! You could sit on the grass, sure, but why not bring folding chairs, blankets and a couple of tables? If you’re like our friend Niki, you’ll bring tablecloths, a nice serving platter and fresh flowers to fancy up your gathering.
Ask your father! He will tell you to bring a wagon or cart. You need something to carry all that stuff. My friend John uses a dolly. He starts with folding tables as his base and builds from there with coolers, chairs, etc.
Where are your shoes? Sorry, Mom! We had to take them off a bit and enjoy the feel of the nice golf course grass on our feet.
Someone is going to end up crying … if you don’t bring your flashlight for the walk back to the car. It gets dark on the golf course.
